A pre-employment medical is a baseline assessment of a candidate's health before they begin their role. Performing a baseline assessment prior to a candidate initiating work helps determine the suitability of the candidate to the role and ensures you are completing the appropriate risk management.

The components included in a pre-employment medical depend on the industry and the job role provided by your worksite. Most pre-employment medicals will include a mixture of the components listed below; however, if your industry requires specialised assessments, we can customise the medical assessment to suit your specific needs.
Screener / Nurse / EP / Physiotherapist
Standard screening and optional assessments
The screening component of a medical commonly records a candidate's blood pressure, height, urinalysis, vision and weight.
If required, a screener may also perform: audiometry; blood testing; drug testing (instant and/or lab DAS); musculoskeletal or fitness assessments; spirometry.
Doctor Review
Comprehensive medical history and physical assessment
Our occupational physicians record a candidate's medical history and assess the following functions: abdominal; basic musculoskeletal; cardiovascular; nervous system; oral and ear; respiratory; skin.
